How We Work
We're an early-stage, remote-first team building Emmabyte Engineering through a mix of client consulting and a long-term humanitarian mission—using software to create real, tangible impact. Right now we're bringing on part-time contract engineers who want meaningful work, strong mentorship, and a healthy, kind team culture (we're proudly LGBTQ+ friendly). If you're comfortable with modern dev workflows, excited to learn fast, and motivated by purpose as much as craft, you'll fit right in—this is a place to grow your skills while helping build something that matters.
Contract Terms & Compensation
Transparent, fair compensation with the flexibility of part-time contract work.
Hourly Contract Pay
Paid hourly (or fixed-scope when it makes sense), based on experience and role needs.
Flexible Part-Time
Typically 10–25 hrs/week depending on project load and your availability.
Prompt Payment
Simple invoicing. Clear pay schedule (weekly or biweekly) so you're not chasing us.
Project Variety
Client work across modern web, integrations, data/analytics, and occasional AI workflows.
Growth Path
As we grow, strong contractors get first shot at increased hours and longer-term roles.
